Qualifications:
All qualified candidates are positive role models for children and appear approachable to the students.
Successful candidates will have at least 2 years demonstrated successful experience.
They also must have good verbal and non-verbal communication skills - as the position requires communication with children, parents and staff.
Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual - as there are strict guidelines for teacher/student ratios.
Must be capable of accepting training and supervision as well as being receptive to feedback.
Must be able to lift children and carry out other responsibilities as needed.
All qualified candidates must pass a background check. First Aid and CPR certified is a plus - and is a requirement prior to employment.
All positions are in accordance with the State Standards and Regulations.

Leads and Assistants:
Shall meet the above qualifications in addition to these below:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have experience and/or education as described by the state standards and regulations.
Must have at least 2 years experience in a Lead position with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Must have experience in creating lesson plans.
Must have at least 16 hours of recent training in either child development, playground safety, health and safety issues or preventing and reporting child abuse and neglect.

Aides:
Aides will assist the Leads and Assistants in the classroom

Most of these positions will be reserved for those who have at least one of the following:
 - Soccer expertise and willing to assist with our soccer program
 - Spanish or other foreign language fluency and can effectively teach foreign language to young children
 - Enrolled in Early Childhood Development classes at either the high school or college
 - 18+ years of age with flexible schedules, demonstrated experience with children, emotional maturity, and the physical ability to do the job (including lifting or carrying children)

Note: There will be limited part-time positions for those <18 years of age due to the State requirements for child day centers. 

Director:
Shall meet above qualifications in addition to these below:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have previous Director experience or a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.
Must be a people-person who can relate to children, staff and parents.
Must be able to take direction and feedback.
Must be able to effectively promote the Kidzalat philosophy.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with the parents, children and staff.
Must have a combination of experience and education as required by the state regulations.
Must have previous supervisory experience of 5 or more employees.
Must also have experience in planning, budgeting, staffing, monitoring employee performance and creating schedules, as well as interviewing and hiring.
Must be versed in Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers and able to create procedures in accordance with these standards as well as enforce the procedures.
Will be required to pass certain evaluative tests during the interview process.
